Clairefontaine Triomphe Stationery - 8.25 x 11.75 Tablet, Blank Paper is rated 4.8772 out of 5 by 57.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spark of Triumph This French manufacturer's paper takes me back to grade school, where I used it to learn how to write French, so my fond memories bias me a little. But only a little. The blank pad comes with one lined sheet to use as guide paper underneath each sheet, allowing you to write neatly and straightly as though it were your nature. The paper itself is smooth, seducing the ink right out of the pen and into its fibrous embrace. The sheen of the paper is elegant, and its feel is substantive without being too heavy. I will eagerly buy more when this tablet runs out. I'd recommend this to a pen-o-phile, paper addict, or user of inks. You each can have something to love about Clairefontaine paper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Second Best Paper I Have This is one of the best papers I've encountered against feathering and bleed-through, but it isn't perfect. I've had some feathering and bleed through with both of the inks (Noodler's Heart of Darkness and J. Herbin Terre de Feu) I use with my 2 and 3mm Braus Bandzug nibs. I've actually found that Clairfontaine's Classic notebooks behave better in this regard. When it comes to typical fountain pen nibs, though, I've had no feathering or bleed-through on days with up to an 80% dew point and 90F/32C. This is my go-to paper for writing letters, and A4, when tri-folded, does fit in standard US business envelopes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Triomphe Stationery Tablets This is lovely, really smooth paper which knows how to handle fountain pen ink. The paper color is a crisp white. If you do buy the blank/unruled tablet, know that it comes with one lined "guide" sheet that you can lay underneath the blank page as you write. It would be neat one day to see Triomphe expand to other colors (or offer a tablet with a mix of colors). If super-smooth stationery is not to your liking, check out the (more textured) G. Lalo stationery which also comes in more colors. Both are great, and I use one or the other depending on my mood (and to whom I'm writing).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top Paper My fave paper when using fountain pens (which is about 95% of the time). I use this paper for both writing and sketching/drawing. I also prefer to use international sized papers A4, A5 and they are becoming very popular in the US lately. Some credit for that goes to awesome web sellers such as Goulet Pen comp. ps. Someone wrote in the review below or above that they need folders etc to store these as they are slightly different that letter size paper... well they have Itoya A4 binders and folders available (I have those for my art drawings) and binders (various companies including some from US such as Wilson Jones ring binder I found on amazon and Moleskine ring binder) can be bought online from many places. Those are just some examples, there are many others. ps2; If Clairefontaine would make this same paper blank in notebook version A4 and A5 (maybe even A6 for pocket) I would indefinitely convert to this paper. That would be the mother of all notebooks :).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great writing paper, a bit stiff I recently received my first pad of Clairefontaine Triomphe Stationery paper. Interestingly, despite feeling extremely smooth to the touch, it seems to deliver a tad more feedback to the nib when compared to Rhodia pads, rather different from Clairefontaine notebooks. The paper feels a bit stiff and hard for personal correspondence, so I'll stick to a laid paper for that, but it is excellent for writing samples and business occasions. As usual, excellent service from Goulet pens. :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good paper for a good price. This paper is as good as everyone says it is. It's a nice bright white, is smooth, and is very fountain pen friendly. Even with my very wet Visconti Homo Sapiens it has absolutely no issues with feathering of bleed through. My only complaint would be that, at least with the tablet I purchased, I'm having some difficulty getting the sheets to tear away cleanly. I have to be very, very careful to do so. I'd certainly recommend this paper to others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from On a letter writing frenzy...brought to you by Clairefontaine To date, I've written 46 letters (long overdue) to some influential folks I've come across throughout my adventure. I began my correspondence with a pile of cotton resume paper I picked up in a local office supply place. That medium was ok. The joy came from the act, not the paper. Then, after considering other papers, I purchased blank this CF blank. The joy then became not only the act, but the vehicle upon which I was traveling. Being new to the FP and paper business, I now realize at least a part of the satisfaction is finding the right combo. I'm still floundering around as far as the rights pen goes, but I'm sticking with this paper. And the winner is....Clairefontaine Triomphe, 8.25 x 11.75, blank. Goulet product # C6170.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Flexible Pens Clairefontaine (and Rhodia, especially Rhodia Premium) offer the best no-bleed surfaces for writing with flexible pens, both fountain pens (Noodlers's) and pointed dip pens. They are not overly expensive, either, especially if you are serious about good handwriting. As a calligrapher, I use these pads for practice and for finished black and white work for reproduction. Excellent choice for everybody!
