Clairefontaine Triomphe Stationery - 5.875 x 8.25 Tablet, Blank Paper is rated 4.8661 out of 5 by 112.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just PLAIN Good (Get it?) This pad is very nice. I especially like the piece of lined paper you can place behind the sheet as you write -- So that your finished product looks neat, but it isn't botched up with unnecessary lines. The paper responds quite well to all of the inks I have used on it. Bleed-through and feathering are very low, especially compared to the everyday paper you pick up at the store these days. I will say, however, that these things come at a price: dry-time. The dry-time is a little long on this paper, so you have to be careful not to smudge as your write. Otherwise, I have no complaints. It's a very attractive paper that is sure to please whoever receives it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sublime! When I first used this paper (with a Goulet 1.1 Italic Nib in an Ahab) it was smooth like butter. Everything flowed so perfectly I couldn't stop writing. The ink was brighter and the shading was potent (I was using Noodler's Liberty's Elysium). When I compared it to the the copier paper (same pen, nib, & ink combo) I was astonished at the difference. I have become addicted. I had heard about the difference in quality paper but now that I have experienced this heavenly paper, I will never go back to the cheap printer paper except for practicing calligraphy ( which I am no good at but am trying to improve with practice!). There can not be enough positive things to say about this paper. It is like magic the way it transforms the entire writing experience. Buy it. You will not regret it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Convenient & sized for concise writing Tablets are convenient to keep the sheets together. The gummed edge requires a little finesse to keep a sheet of paper from curling or kinking, but hand written notes are not about speed. They are about making a statement that the sender cares enough to put pen to paper. The paper takes ink well. The ink does not bleed through the paper and does not seem to feather. The size is good for a short note that can be direct and still fill the page. Too much white space may leave the impression the writer was short on ideas. Apparently this stationery leaves an impression because a business associate crossed a room full of people to tell me he had received my note of appreciation for a meeting and lunch.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Clairefontaine Stationery (5.875 x 8.25) Excellent paper for the price. I have found it great for notes and/or casual letters. Also did not realize how much women love a hand written note with the unmistakable font from a fountain pen nib. Keep that in mind guys when buying this note paper, (winks). As always Goulet service and pricing is top notch too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clairefontaine Triomphe Writing Tablets I wanted to start writing letters again and wanted a letter pad similar in size and convenience as what my parents had, but also FP friendly. After visiting some forums I decided on the Triomphe tablet with matching envelopes. I got both a blank and ruled pad. I have only used the ruled paper to date. The paper takes my ink very well (Private Reserve with a Chinese Hero Fine nib pen). In addition to the science of this paper (takes ink well and good construction) I also like the art of the paper. The envelope with 3 to 4 sheets folded in half inserted, sealed, and addressed just looks good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Unique Qualities I was out of paper, so I went and bought some more. I'm glad I did. Wow. This stuff is REALLY flat! I mean, how do they get it so flat?! And it's really white too, void of any color. And not only that, but there is a bunch of it as well. The tablet says 50 sheets, and though I haven't counted them yet to make sure they're all there, I honestly believe that there are 50 sheets in that tablet. Ink sticks to this paper nicely too. So far everything I have written on this paper has shown up on the paper the way it is supposed to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Once you go Clairefontaine, you never go back The paper is slightly smoother than typical Rhodia Dotpad paper. You may need to compare then side by side to tell the difference if you're new to it. It's a definite step-up from plain old copier paper. I would only use this as correspondence paper though (and will only send it to stationery lovers since others may not appreciate this paper as much). It does take quite a while to dry though, even compared to Rhodia. I love the simple look of it, with a hint of luxury.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! I won't lie. I bought this because of the lower price point compared to other stationery options, not because of all of the rave reviews I'd seen everywhere in the fountain pen world. Historically, I have preferred to use somewhat absorbent paper with a bit of tooth. I like a little feedback. So I didn't expect to be blown away by the Clairefontaine. Boy, was I wrong. I love this paper. I look forward to any excuse to write a letter, because it is such a pleasure to write on! Even inks that I've known to take ages to dry did fine on this paper (though the fact that I had just cleaned my pens may have been a factor there, too). No bleeding, ghosting, or feathering to be seen, either. Truly great paper. I've been using a Midori A5 notebook for personal writing, and I like that, too...but I may well switch to a Clairefontaine notebook after this!
