Aurora Blue (45ml)

If you're looking for a classic blue with a special twist, give Aurora a try. This versatile ink has purple undertones, is very wet, and incredibly water-soluble. Aurora works particularly well with fine nibs, but does have a longer drying time and less shading than some of the other inks we carry.

Aurora Blue June 11, 2014

Goulet's service, as usual, was second to none.  This is a nice solid blue color.  It flows and works well on a variety of papers.

Interesting easy blue October 4, 2013
Reviewer: Joseph Palka from Flemington, NJ United States
I use this ink in my journal and while it is not what I expected at all, it is a very interesting blue ink. On every paper stock except for the cheapest paper I can find, it behaves very well. It even behaves With an Eastern Fine (my Jinhao 9009) it has a light almost indigo quality to it and very little if any shading. With my Lamy Safari F or my Jinhao 16 M (which is a very wet writer), it goes down with a little more shading, but it has this almost blue powder quality to it with purple highlights. The best way I can describe it is it looks almost like a powder coated piece of metal before it is baked. It is not washed out, but it does have an odd look to it. I wish I could post some pictures. Cleaning it out is pretty easy and I have even left it in pens for several days and it writes without a problem. It has great flow and I can count on one hand all the times it has skipped in any of my pens. If you are looking for a problem free blue/indigo ink, this is a good choice.

A bit purplish, but a nice flowing blue ink January 26, 2013
Reviewer: Leroy from Corona, CA
I like using think with broader nibs because the shading is more apparent. Finer nibs get the benefit of it's wetness. One thing is the drying time...pretty long on papers like Clairefontaine. There are other blue inks that have better value, but this is still a nice ink.

Pretty Good December 28, 2012
Reviewer: Akshat Shukla from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh India
I found Aurora Blue pretty good in fact it is now my second choice for ink for my Vac 700.
I found two problems with this ink-
1. It particularly bleak through the paper.
2. It is not waterproof.
But overall rating will be Goood.
